Info & Details

About the pools - about Cape Town's tidal pools, history and conservation.

Where we'll be

We will explore one of the the numerous tidal pools of Cape Town along the southeast peninsula of False Bay. All are in beautiful settings along the ocean shore.

What we'll do

We will meet at Cape Town Freedivers to collect kit, and then move on to the tidal pool. At the pool we will take in the beauty and kit up. After a snorkelling brief, I will take you out on our tidal pool adventure. While we're in the water I'll take some happy snaps to share with you later that evening. Afterwards we'll head to a handpicked deli or coffee shop nearby. I'll take your kit and you're free to savour the experience for the rest of the day!

Guest requirements

It's important that you're able to swim, and that you're okay with water temperatures between 14 and 20 degrees celsius - you will be in a full wetsuit with correct thickness. Sometimes there is a cold wind so  NB to bring a towel and warm clothing layer. Own transport is needed, let me know if you need assistance with that! Kids will need a parent or guardian accompanying them.

What's included

Snorkeling kit and some happy snaps from the day

What to bring

Towel, underwater camera, water, sunblock, hat, warm clothing layer - pool temperature averages between 14 and 20 degrees Celsius.

Important to note

Damaged or lost kit would kindly need to be replaced by yourself. The tidal pools are always beautiful, weather is changeable however. I will be in touch if weather will prohibit snorkeling. Also, there are no showers at the tidal pools. A signed indemnity form will be required when you book that'll include T's & C's.
